We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Fort Lauderdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems. The Maintenance Mechanic will work with other members of the maintenance team to ensure that equipment is running efficiently, safely, and reliably. We offer great benefits and growth opportunity. Responsibilities
Troubleshoots machine tools, assembly lines and test stands. Troubleshoot, modify and repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc.
Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble and predict failure. Dissembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts, pieces and equipment. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts. Initiates request for replacement parts. Examines and repairs controls as required.
Diagnosis of electrical problems with in machine circuitry. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Uses handbooks, machine assembly drawings, blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, trade manuals, sketches, and/or verbal instructions, to maintain mechanical devices.
Maintains maintenance records and updating of machine documentation.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area; performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Utilizes continuous improvement concepts in quality, efficiency and meeting production standards
The essential functions of this role include:
- working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
