Naval Supply Systems Command DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a Distribution Facilities Specialist in the Naval Petroleum Office Facilities Division of CNSSC OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FIELD. Responsibilities You will participate in the development of long range goals and objectives for Naval POL facilities and ensures that the MILCON program supports these goals and objectives You will analyze and make decisions concerning fuel distribution facilities, storage spaces, fuel handling equipment and other operational requirements You will participate in multi-agency meetings to develop and review technical specifications, criteria, guidance and standard practice for the DOD POL community You will prepare and review project document and maintain close oversight of approval projects through entire lifecycle project Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Distribution Facilities Specialist experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service providing subject matter expertise across organizations for Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant (POL) facilities management programs to deliver bulk and retail POL products and services to customers worldwide. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Apply the principles and practices of Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) facility operation, maintenance, and overall organization and facility design; 2) Provide general technical knowledge related to work conducted at POL facilities and systems sufficient to provide evaluation and guidance related to facility operations; and 3) Exercise knowledge of POL facility design, construction, maintenance, and repair to make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing mission-critical programs. GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Applying the principles and practices of Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) facility operation, maintenance, and overall organization and facility design; 2) Providing technical knowledge related to work conducted at POL facilities and systems sufficient to provide evaluation and guidance related to facility operations; and/or 3) Exercising knowledge of POL facility operations and maintenance to make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing mission-critical programs.
