Your role at Clorox:

The Plant Manager leads and owns all functions at the plant: Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Finance, and Training. The Plant Manager is responsible for recruiting and leading the workforce to an empowered state, and for utilizing tools and leveraging resources available to achieve world class results. The Plant Manager also actively participates in Division Operations teams, Technical Development teams, and strategic projects as needed. Key attributes of success in the role will include rapid improvement in safety results and culture, employee engagement and empowerment, and driving productivity gains through efficiency improvements, simplification efforts and supply chain synchronization. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and be clear and decisive on key priorities to drive improvements that lead to overall plant and company success.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive, model, champion and support desired plant culture, vision, team-based structure, and skill-based pay for performance system.

  • Developing strategies and prioritizing for self and direct reports.

  • Analyze, decide and communicate priority actions to drive improvement in key focus areas of safety, plant culture and efficiency.

  • Supervising direct reports' performance and the performance of their teams, demonstrating recognition programs and supporting behavior modification.

  • Mentoring and developing direct reports and self.

  • Proven excellent presentation, organizational, analytical, written communication, and verbal/nonverbal interpersonal skills.

  • Outstanding Leadership ability with high EQ and proven success in interpersonal skills and relationship building.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization, fostering an environment of trust, open communication and ownership.

  • Willing/able to be flexible and work off-shift work and travel as needed.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to effectively plan and lead multiple priorities.

  • Excel in leading managers, teams and individuals through analytical problem solving, prioritizing issues and opportunities.

  • Proven skills in motivating and developing managers, teams and individuals through utilization of effective individual development plans, training, empowerment in challenging opportunities, trust, and rewards and recognition.

  • Consistent track record in translating corporate strategic initiatives into operational requirements and in providing leadership to implement sustainable processes that deliver superior results.

  • Experience in operational budget development and management along with financial competence.

What we look for:

  • 15+ Years of manufacturing leadership experience in all operational functions of manufacturing

  • Demonstrated experience delivering results as a Site Manager with total site responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, communication and teambuilding skills

  • Demonstrated ability to understand manufacturing, business processes and systems

  • Strong leadership in a TPM/Continuous Improvement environment.

  • Ability to plan and execute multiple projects/activities

  • Safety leadership experience – particularly in the process industry is preferred.

  • Flexibility for travel up to 20%.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferably Engineering or Technology oriented).

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $171,700 - $352,600

–Zone B: $157,400 - $324,200

–Zone C: $143,100 - $294,700

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
