Collins Aerospace seeks an NDT Inspector for its MRO Fabrication Department. As an NDT Inspector, your duties include conducting non-destructive testing using liquid penetrants, magnetic particle, eddy current, and ultrasonic techniques, certified according to relevant standards (such as FARS, RSM, S8s, ADs, etc.), to meet shop floor and business requirements. You will also interpret, apply, and adhere to Collins and customer codes, standards, and contractual documents governing non-destructive testing application.
What YOU will do
You will evaluate inspection data, interpret findings/results, and record inspection results on approved documents.
You will operate and maintain NDT equipment, develop techniques to perform NDT inspections of various materials and products.
You will set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests. Interpret, evaluate, and document results.
You will maintain NDT equipment to ensure functionality which may include testing, changing fluids or suspensions, moving equipment, etc.
Pass a Jager 1 vision and color blindness examination
Pass Level 2 certification in Penetrant Testing (PT,) Ultrasonic Testing (UT,) Eddy Current Testing (ET,) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) testing methods.
Education & Experience
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Skills we value
Currently/Previously certified to Level 2 in at least (1) NDT method (Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Eddy current Testing, or Magnetic particle Testing) in accordance with National Aerospace Standard 410.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
