MPD Americas IT/OT Systems Engineer (SKF USA Inc. / Flowery Branch, GA) - Responsible for regional factories IT/OT applications and infrastructure, including local support, operations, and maintenance, ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability; responsible for the factorys complete IT/OT setup, including infrastructure, applications, and systems; involved in the development and execution of the factorys roadmap and project portfolio; maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies; ensure support flows are working and are known by users; liaise with partners, vendors, and other IT personnel to ensure operational stability and availability; ensure service, maintenance, and problem-solving capabilities during production open hours to ensure disturbance free operations; identify new opportunities and ideas, as well as continuously improve existing solutions and methodologies; drive the execution of various assessments, ensuring that the right information is collected and that the quality is high; manage the systems and network documentation, and the upgrade of networks from a mix of legacy networks and fieldbuses into modern OT/IT network infrastructure; pro-active detection of risks and possible failures and handling of these to ensure system uptime. Requires Bachelors in Electronic or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another closely related field and two years of experience in job offered or in position(s) including Industry Engineer and/or MD Global IT/OT Systems Engineer. Background in education, training or experience must include demonstrated understanding of the factorys IT/OT environment; experience in working with application deployment, server management, server virtualization, database management, network segmentation, routing, and switching for IT/OT environments, firewalls; experience in supporting optimization of manufacturing (OT) and business (IT) devices, software, and network systems; experience in design and implementation of security and data governance systems, protecting both manufacturing and business environments; demonstrated broad technical understanding and hands-on implementation experience of IT and OT technologies within the manufacturing area; experience in maintenance practices and utility management methodologies; demonstrated stress resistance and excellence problem-solving capability under high pressure in case of unplanned downtimes. Additional worksite located in Sumter, SC. Up to 10% travel required to company sites, both domestic and international.
