Basic Job Functions:

EEO/Affirmative Action compliance in all aspects of our hiring and promotions process Recruiting and Outreach with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion Organize and facilitate our Entry Level Production hiring process Create and post all job openings in SuccessFactors and process candidates through the workflow Create interview guides and schedule interviews as needed for the hiring supervisors Participate in interview panels and the selection process of candidates Backup payroll once a month Develop and maintain annual training calendar of course offerings Conduct and track teammate training as needed; organize training by a third party when needed Update teammates on changes to benefits Maintain our Teammate Handbook Collaborate with TAG on job posting validations and assessment updates Onboarding of new hires in SuccessFactors Maintain job folders including interview notes Conduct open enrollment meetings Aid teammates with appeals on medical and prescription claim denials Administrator of the Nucor Scholarship program for our division Schedule quarterly CalmWater onsite meetings Assist our management team with complaints, investigations, and resolutions using Nucor guidelines Work directly with our GM and management team on implementing policy changes Confidentiality is required in all aspects of this role

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years working experience in Human Relations Management.

  • Experience administering self-insured medical, dental, and prescription drug plans, flexible spending plans, defined contribution plans, and life and disability plans.

  • Microsoft office skills.

  • Demonstration of Human Relations knowledge

  • Identifying the training needs of the division and effectively developing and implementing training and processes in order to help others improve their knowledge and skills to work safely and effectively

Preferences:

  • 4-year degree in Human Relations Management or a related field.

  • PHR or other advanced HR Related Certification.

  • Experience in recruitment, training, employment law, benefit administration, and other government compliance regulations.
