Annual Salary: $86,700 Hourly ($41.6827)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in the field of business administration, healthcare administration, public policy or a related field;

-OR-

Six (6) years' experience within the last ten (10) years focused in a compliance-related role focused on HIPAA, ADA, PCI and/or CJIS regulations.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Responsible for ensuring that all units of county government are in compliance with the rules and regulations governing HIPAA, PCI, CJIS, ADA and other applicable regulations; works closely with departmental leaders to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks across all county programs and services to implement policies and procedures that protect the privacy and security of sensitive information and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations; works under the general supervision of the Chief Information Security Officer and performs related duties as required.

STATEMENT OF TASKS:

  • Serves as a member of the county technology team;
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HIPAA, ADA, PCI and CJIS regulations throughout all county units;
  • Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas of improvement;
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for county employees;
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and complaints;
  • Monitor and respond to changes in relevant regulations and industry best practices;
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators and other compliance stakeholders;
  • Advise county leadership on compliance matters and provide guidance on best practices;
  • Works closely with both technical and non-technical staff to resolve, document and support a variety of issues and services;
  • Promptly resolves all issues and requests.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong understanding of HIPAA, ADA, PCI and CJIS regulations;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information;

Knowledge of county government operations and structures is preferred;
