The Electrical Assembler plays a key role in the functionality of the boat. Did you know there is more electrical line in a boat than in a home?

Position Overview:

The Electrical Assembler assembles and performs 12-volt wiring on consoles, T-Tops or cabins, and performs troubleshooting duties.

Physical Requirements

· Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required which may include safety glasses, hard hats, respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits.

· Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching

· Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Anything over 50 lbs requires a team lift effort.

· Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. The work location may be 60°F to above 100°F ambient in areas of production.

· Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environment

· Ability to work overtime (planned and unplanned)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Minimum of three years of experience in electrical assembly or equivalent preferred, with strong preference for those with multiple line and workstation/cell experience

· Electrical certification preferred

· Must possess extensive electrical knowledge

· Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical problems

· Must be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics

· Previous industrial training or teaching experience preferred

· Marine assembly experience highly preferred but not required

· Must have demonstrated ability to work independently, without supervision

· Must have excellent communication skills, centered on an ability to transfer knowledge in an instructional, helpful manner.

· Must show a passion for continuous improvement, and an ability to recognize needed program changes to respond to production challenges.

· Must be able to work overtime if needed to meet production goals.

· Must be able to attend off site training if necessary, to stay current with supplier electrical and electronic systems.

· Must follow all safety and quality standards at all times, including chemical handling standards and PPE (personal protective equipment)

· Understand and follow verbal and written directions

· Ability to use hand, and pneumatic tools

· Ability to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity as well as a team environment displaying mutual respect

· Ability to fluently speak, read, understand, and write English

· High school diploma or GED required

Shifts:

We have multiple shifts to fit a variety of availability which include:

4 – 10 hr a day work weeks
