The Arc of Opportunity Executive Assistant/Development Associate in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

The Arc of Opportunity is searching for an exceptional individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant/Development Associate. Position Summary: Provides a wide variety of skilled administrative and clerical support to the CEO and Development department. Responsibilities include exposure to sensitive information and require considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment. This position requires flexibility to attend Board meetings and/or special events. Please note, a cover letter is required for consideration of this position.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (40 hr/week)

Responsibilities:

· Provide a wide variety of skilled administrative and clerical support to the CEO and Development department.

· Maintain databases and run basic reports

· Assist in the development and sending of mass mailings

· Assist and/or participate in special events

· Develop effective working relationships with clients, donors, volunteers, government representatives and others

· Acknowledge gifts and donations

· Responsible for special projects as assigned for CEO and department of Development

· Assist with Board meetings or similar meetings, take and distribute minutes as needed

· Prepare Board packets

· Research/ analyze data and develop reports to aid in management decision-making

· Update website, utilize social media, and communicate through email marketing

· Conducts oneself professionally, maintaining respect, following regulations and agency policies and adhering to confidentiality requirements in all assigned duties

· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

· Physical demands include: Frequent standing, pushing, pulling, walking, stooping, lifting and twisting.

· Functional and situational reasoning to follow policy, problem solve, exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage crises.

· Cross functional communication skills, written and oral, which convey clear and concise information in a professional and respectful manner to individuals supported, family members/guardians, peers, government agencies, community partners and all employees throughout the organization.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· A Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and CORI is required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.

· Associate’s Degree and one year of office experience.
