Design Systems, Inc. Technical Specialist (Electrical and Controls) in Farmington Hills, Michigan
Responsible for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming, plant floor system integration including configuration and start-up/debugging. Responsible for project management support, field installation, start-up, and debugging of new/ reworked equipment, and acting as the lead technical resource for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects. Work closely with client management to develop strategies and coordinated with multiple internal and external resources. Work with designers, process engineers, product specialists, and other team members. Review designs, managed change orders and reporting. Define and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. Support integration and configuration of plant floor systems. Gather the required information to assemble bid package contents using the latest customer template. Assist in the development of controls/ systems standards for the customer. Provide controls engineering support for the start-up and debug of equipment to make functional. On-site representation for program implementation and contract compliance.
