Job Description

As an Electronics Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling products according to engineering specifications and drawings using provided tools. This role involves using soldering irons, solder pots, and hand tools to perform tasks such as potting, encapsulation, epoxy bonding, sanding, and cleaning. You may also assemble prototype units for engineering and recommend solutions to assembly problems related to fixtures and tools. Additionally, you will assist other assemblers with questions related to the assembly of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided.

  • Use soldering irons, solder pots, and hand tools to perform work.

  • Assemble parts and perform tasks such as potting, encapsulation, epoxy bonding, sanding, and cleaning.

  • Assemble prototype units for engineering.

  • Recommend solutions to assembly problems regarding fixtures and tools.

  • Assist other assemblers with questions related to the assembly of our products.

Essential Skills

  • Soldering

  • Reading blueprints and schematics

  • Use of solder pots and hand tools

  • Handling power tools

  • Surface mount technology (SMT)

  • Printed circuit board (PCB) assembly

  • Crimping

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to interpret specifications, diagrams, and/or blueprints

  • Basic math skills (addition and subtraction for dimensions)

  • Physical ability to lift and transport units up to 30 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to use a soldering iron

  • Repetitive use of hands
