Job Description

Your Contribution:

As a Supply Analyst/Planner, you will join a small but mighty team to manage the product supply from key suppliers through to the global distribution warehouses, ensuring finished product availability globally through use of forecast demand, safety stock and target stock levels.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Relationship management of key suppliers for continuous material supply.

  • Timely placement of purchase orders, circulation of detailed forecasts, negotiation and agreement of committed delivery schedules.

  • Develop plans and hold weekly supplier review meeting for material production requirements to ensure a controlled flow of product to meet customer demand for the Business, maximise revenue and optimise working capital turns.

  • Expedite, reschedule, and cancel purchase order quantities with key suppliers to achieve business inventory targets while maintaining customer delivery performance requirements.

  • Monitor customer order backlog, prioritise production to recover, supporting order services teams and maximizing revenue. Provide updates on material availability.

  • Hold supplier component supply reviews, monitor and circulate relevant procurement issues for support and resolution.

  • Create and manage indirect purchase orders using e-procurement tool Teledyne Smart Source (TSS – Ivalua)

  • Escalation of supply chain and forecasting issues to prevent excess/insufficient inventory. Identify relevant opportunities to destock inventory on hand through rework or alternative means.

  • Control Product retirement, plan last time buy quantities including service requirements and depletion of current stock levels to minimise obsolescence costs.

  • Measure key suppliers to maintain or improve supplier delivery performance.

  • Maintain accuracy of all associated SAP planning parameters and delivery schedule data in MRP system (SAP).

  • Perform and/or manage supplier pricing updates, update open purchase orders and supplier info records.

  • Periodic review of system parameters including safety stock and transit times.

  • Identify and implement improvements to the material planning and delivery processes.

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have:

  • Business degree or equivalent experience

  • HNC equivalent qualification in inventory or supply chain

  • Supply chain and/or Inventory planning experience

  • General knowledge of SAP would be an advantage

  • Business understanding of Inventory, logistics, finance, manufacturing

  • A positive attitude and good work ethic
