Role Summary
Here at Parker Meggitt, we're looking for an established Senior Project Manager with the ability to engage with stakeholders outside of the immediate Engineering Integrated Project Team (e.g. business development, manufacturing engineering, programmes, supply chain, operations and quality) to deliver the projects within the established non-recurring cost (NRC), delivery, quality, and other critical success factors (CSFs). Projects will include (but not limited to), New Product Implementation (NPI), In-Service Support (Operational Support / Continuous Improvement) and Transfer of Work (ToW) and will be complex in nature.
Knowledge of the Engineering Product Development lifecycle (PDR, CDR, FDR) process will be essential in this role.
Core Responsibilities
Applying broad based technical and industry knowledge and experience to maximise opportunities for success on projects
Maintaining day to day project management activities (including the daily project team meeting) and progress all outstanding issues
Creating and maintaining Project Management Plans (PMPs) to support quotations (business development) and project delivery
Maintaining project plans (MS Project) and status reporting contained in the Project Management Database (Power BI)
Briefing and preparing the team to accomplish goals and objectives – communicates Project priorities in a convincing manner, encouraging buy-in
Internal and External (Customer/Supply Chain) metric-driven Project Status reporting
Leading Project Meetings and support customer needs
Understanding customer and regulatory requirements and ensure they are provisioned for within the schedule
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Essential
Knowledge of the Engineering Product Development lifecycle (PDR, CDR, FDR) process
Experience in delivering technical engineering projects and work packages across multiple domains
Experience in applying Project Management standards and techniques throughout the lifecycle of the project, key process areas include: stakeholder management, project planning, monitoring and control, risk & opportunity management, financial management, business cases and benefits
Desirable
Aerospace industry experience or experience of leading projects in a highly regulated environment
A professional project management qualification, ideally PMI Certification or APM Practitioner qualification
