Job Description

Your Contribution:

As Demand forecast analyst you will play a critical role in building and managing the relationship between the global sales team and supply chain. You will be a key facilitator in the S&OP cycle. This role provides great exposure and helps you learn the end-to-end workings of the business by dealing with multiple stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering as well as the broader supply chain team. This is a pivotal role that offers process and structure, whilst also providing the opportunity to real drive change and improvement. The successful candidate for this role would be someone who enjoys working with numerical data but is also comfortable liaising with internal/external stakeholders to draw conclusions from data.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Sales and operations planning monthly cycle from data gathering to Exec review

  • Create regional and global Demand Forecasts in the demand planning tools at both detail and aggregated level, utilising the best fit statistical models

  • Using market inputs, historical data, planned sales activities and regional forecasts to maximise service levels while minimizing inventory

  • Liaise and be the first line of contact with the Product Managers to ensure New Product Introductions and Product Retirements are captured within the Demand Forecast

  • Carrying out analysis of sales history, seasonal and forthcoming events or activities in order to generate an optimal demand forecast

  • Organise S&OP meetings with US & EMEA Sales contacts, to interrogate and understand variances to forecasts, adjusting if necessary to the agreement of all involved.

  • Ensure that all changes to current Demand Forecast are communicated to Supply Chain Planner/analyst as soon as possible, to minimize impacts on stock ordering and holdings.

  • Root cause analysis techniques to establish underlying causes of KPI shortfalls and implement improvement plans to rectify

  • Implement and report key performance indicators and use these to drive continuous improvement in the S&OP process and forecast accuracy

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have:

  • Recent, practical and in-depth experience of running a Sales and operations planning cycle

  • Great analytical skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems

  • Practical experience working with SAP considered would be desirable

  • Hands on experience working with specialist demand forecasting software such as Demand Solutions

  • Strong listening and influencing skills.

  • Hands on demand forecasting experience

  • Business understanding of Inventory, logistics, finance, manufacturing
