Job Description
Join our team as an Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Aviation Life Support Services (Parachute Rigger). In this role, you will perform a range of maintenance tasks including inspection, operational testing, repairing, modifying, and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment. You will apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems, provide technical assistance, and offer guidance and instruction to other employees. Your responsibilities will also include installing and removing cartridge and propulsion actuated devices, managing parachutes and seat survival kits, maintaining pilots’ personal equipment, and handling aircrew survival equipment. Additionally, you will perform special inspections, manage corrosion treatment, and brief aircrew on survival equipment use and conditions.
Hard Skills
Advanced technical knowledge in aircraft mechanics
Ability to interpret IETMS, Maintenance Instruction Manuals, and directives
Experience with cartridge actuated and propulsion actuated devices
Skill in packing, unpacking, preserving, and maintaining parachutes and survival kits
Proficiency in performing aircraft conditional and special inspections
Soft Skills
Problem-solving skills
Technical guidance and instruction
Communication skills for briefing and debriefing aircrew

Work Site
This is a fully remote position.
Work Environment
You will work primarily in hangar, shop, and flight line environments. The role requires flexibility to perform off-site service on assigned detachments for 30-35% of the year. Candidates must be open to working any shifts including early morning, afternoon, and overnight, with shift differentials offered for second and third shifts. Work schedules include either 5x8s (Monday-Friday) or 4x10s (Friday-Monday).
