An established company in Fallbrook, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Review, verify, and process incoming invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts to verify costs and quantities.
Enter invoice and payment data promptly into the accounting system.
Payment Management:
Assist in preparing payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, on time.
Maintain the AP aging report and follow up on payment discrepancies or outstanding amounts.
Recordkeeping:
Maintain files of vendor invoices and payment histories in compliance with company recordkeeping policies.
Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and payments have been made appropriately.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Experience: 1+ year of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and intermediate Excel skills.
Key Traits: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
