Job Overview
The Aerospace, Defense & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit is currently seeking a long-term temporary Project Manager as a part of the Business Strategy Transformation Office at our Fairview, NC site. TE Connectivity’s Project Manager is responsible for the management of cross-functional teams supporting cross functional, business critical projects. The successful candidate will work with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to ensure projects meet financial, schedule, performance, and customer expectations. The Project Manager is responsible for defining, planning and executing project schedules, budgets and measurement systems to ensure successful project management from initiation to close-out.
About the Role:
Responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver major customer, business, and transformation projects, typically consisting of multiple projects or sub-projects, within budget and time limitations, in accordance with technical specifications, and in fulfillment of financial and performance objectives. The incumbent will:
• Manage a strategic business project (e.g., production migrations, business integrations, and special projects aligned with the strategy deployment of the business unit and product group teams) from project initiation and planning through execution, control and close-out.
• Develop all aspects of strategic and transformation projects, including planning, budgeting, schedules, and performance metrics, and to meet contractual/project requirements, promoting the project throughout the organization and tracking utilization.
• Ensure that activities follow organizational policies, safety, quality and compliance requirements as well as external regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met; arrange modifications as required and evaluate project effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
• Assemble cross-functional project team with members from engineering, procurement, sales, production, materials management, quality, facilities, contractors, etc., serving as the main point of contact for the project.
• Identify risks, develop risk mitigation plans, sponsor decision making, scheduling issues, and problem solving throughout the project.
• May supervise the work of local project staff to ensure that work is completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
• Provide reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
The Project Manager is also responsible for identifying resource constraints and project risks working with management for resolution of those constraints and proactive mitigation of program risks. The Project Manager is expected to adhere to a well-defined program governance and stage gate process to ensure program alignment to business objectives and adherence to all internal and external requirements.
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, business, engineering, or another related field.
• 8+ years’ related experience in Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Supply Chain & Operations or another related area.
• Proven experience in a large, matrixed and global organization, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex projects to completion.
• Continuous Improvement mindset and prior experience implementing best practices. Experience leveraging standard playbooks and project excellence methodologies.
• Previous experience in supply chain or operations roles/management, preferably in a manufacturing or the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Previous experience in business integrations, product line migrations, plant layout optimizations, green site plant start-ups, or related complex business transitions.
• Preferred Qualifications:
o PMI (Project Management Institute) Certified
o Continuous Improvement Certified (i.e., Lean Six Sigma)
o Change Management Certified (i.e., Prosci)

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $119,700 - $179,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
