Mechanical Maintenance Technician
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our Fairport facility. Under the direct supervision of the Global EHS Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment, property, and grounds. Your key responsibilities will include:
Completing work requests regularly and performing preventative maintenance, always adhering to safety standards.
Performing routine maintenance tasks around the building, such as repairing structural damage.
Fixing broken or leaking plumbing to prevent water damage and ensure full use of water fixtures.
Repairing damaged electrical wiring and installing new electrical devices.
Maintaining HVAC equipment to ensure proper climate control in the facility.
Applying preventative maintenance techniques to avoid unnecessary equipment and building component breakdowns.
Addressing potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role.
Knowledge of plumbing to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
Electrical wiring capabilities to manage issues with the building's electricity.
Carpentry skills to handle basic repairs around the building.
Grounds keeping abilities to maintain lawns and other outdoor areas.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact pleasantly with building employees.
Attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed excellently and potential hazards or warning signs are not overlooked.
Physical stamina to handle a full shift of active work and building maintenance tasks.
Working Conditions
Regularly exerting up to 20 lbs. of force and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Bending the body downward and forward at the waist.
Standing for sustained periods.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
Pay: 20-30/hr
7am-3:30pm
Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
