Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires:

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) position is a leadership position in the organization in which the individual is responsible for managing strategic programs and delivering engagement to team members. The Technical Program Manager will report directly to a Global Delivery Manager. They will provide technical expertise, program and project management, strategic planning and coordination, risk and issue management, and technical alignment and execution. The Technical Program Manager is expected to have the experience and background to perform all the duties described below for their aligned engagements:

Solution Delivery

  • Must have a strong technical background and deep knowledge of full-stack development processes, project management methodologies, and technical infrastructure.

  • Responsible for managing complex, cross-functional, and cross-practice projects and programs.

  • Must effectively communicative with engineering teams, C-suite level stakeholders, and external vendors.

  • Capable of tracking progress, proactively identifying and managing risks, and coordinating resources to ensure timely delivery.

  • Oversee project plans, set objectives, manage deliverables to established timelines while coordinating activities between different teams, and facilitate communication to drive project execution.

  • Develop mitigation strategies, resolve issues, and proactively address challenges to keep the projects on track.

  • Bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation while focusing on quality standards and scalability needs.

  • Work with the Practice Principal to create, drive, and track OKRs (yearly/quarterly) and tactical (monthly/weekly) that align with the client’s business drivers.

  • Ensure all change requests (PCRs and PCNs) are documented and assessed for impact on schedules and budgets at the project and program/portfolio levels.

  • Create, maintain, and track program/portfolio-level roadmaps, focusing on long-term success and growth.

  • Ensure TEK Delivery team(s) provide consistent messaging and deliverables in alignment with client OKRs across all client projects within the program/portfolio (“one TEK voice” across multiple projects and teams).

  • Think “outside the box” and provide the necessary level of flexibility to solve Delivery challenges, especially when there is no related defined process. Create new defined processes when necessary and appropriate.

Account Management

  • Drive and direct regular customer, project, and solution “health checks” with client project teams.

  • Work with the Sales teams to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and growth.

  • Establish and maintain strong strategic relationships within the client organization, focusing on increasing a circle of influence within the client organization.

  • Ensure customer reference-ability and support ongoing relationships.

  • Define and implement a Communication Plan that meets project and customer expectations.

  • Support the development and execution of an Account Strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Create and publish necessary reports (financial, resources demand, status, etc.) that include historical performance, current status, and future forecasting in alignment with client OKRs.

  • Played the primary role in internal and client conflict resolution, including being the internal and client’s final escalation point beyond the project’s supporting engagement managers.

  • Establish appropriate governance and ensure compliance with the structure and controls.

Management Responsibilities

  • Understand and manage customer requirements (resource management and environmental factors) to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure that the team follows the engagement methodology from opportunity assessment to project closeout.

  • Financial and contractual responsibility for engagement profitability.

  • Maintain awareness of additional business opportunities and support the pursuit of future business through quality results and escalation to internal stakeholders when additional business opportunities present themselves.

  • Ensure Service Management Office project management methodology is followed on all client engagements.

  • Mentor, manage, and develop project team members.

  • Conduct annual reviews and provide feedback throughout the year on employee performance where required.

  • Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are communicated and executed according to internal and consultant HR policies.

  • Responsible for the leadership and mentorship of Engagement Managers and delivery resources within the account, meeting with and mentoring individual project Delivery teams to ensure all behaviors, goals, and deliverables are aligned bidirectionally from TEK to Delivery, to the Client, to the project.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience

  • 10+ years of experience in information technology and/or professional services.

  • 8+ years in IT service management/project management, providing project management and daily operational oversight within a professional services delivery environment or equivalent, and relevant experience managing resources appropriately.

  • Experience managing, delivering, and administrating client professional services agreements, including the change management process.

  • IT Experience: Delivery Management, Senior Project Management, Scrum Master, Execution Management, Technology Strategy, or other IT leadership experience.

  • Sufficient understanding of Services Outsourcing, PMI PMBOK. PMP, IAOP (Outsourcing Professional), and Agile methodologies including SAFe, Scrum, or other relevant certifications a plus.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English language), analysis and problem-solving skills, and excellent time management and organizational skills.
