Position Description:

CGI is actively seeking an Application Engineer to provide administrative support for the customer’s Reporting System, Wiiisdom Ops, and hosting environment. As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining reporting solution both at the hosting level and administering the applications. This will include patching, upgrades, user management, access management, providing support for cybersecurity efforts, troubleshooting system or application issues, as well as supporting integration with other systems and solutions. You will work closely with our client teams, userbase, and other CGI teams.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Application Engineer is responsible maintaining the OS hosting the applications and the applications themselves, patching, applying security configurations, upgrades, managing active directory, user management, access control, supporting Splunk log collection, optimization of application performance, as well as supporting the client’s reporting system and business object environment. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site agile team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have demonstrated effective communication skills.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 7-12 years of relevant experience with Windows Server System, Active Directory, and cybersecurity practices

• Understanding of Agile Methodology

• Tomcat Configuration and Administration

• Knowledeg working with Splunk

• Knowledge working with SAP and Business Objects

• Knowledge working with reporting applications, including Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence

• Knowledge working with Oracle Databases and supporting tools, including TOAD

• Knowledge working with Wiiisdom 360 for SAP Business Objects

• Experienced in creating and maintaining documentation for system administration procedures and problem resolutions

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Experience developing reporting scripts

• Experience optimizing BOBJ performance

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $60,300.00 - $146,800.00.
