Requirements
Duties
Perform any and all types of minor inspections using necessary equipment, caliper, micrometer, pin gages, etc., to perform those inspections. The Assembly Process Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that assembled product is compliant with design requirements.
Essential Functions
Inspects assembled parts using best practices, inspection plans and tools commensurate with Abilities.
Reviews processing vendor certifications and product to verify compliance to Royell purchase
order and work order; conducting the necessary measurements to establish compliance to drawing for thicknesses and masked features.
Inspects assemblies and sub-assemblies using standard inspection plans and checklists.
Maintains the integrity of the inspection queue system. Working on carts in a first in - first out order ensuring that carts are processed within the 3-day allotted queue time.
Ensures traceability of all products through review for completion or work sequences, material issues and product counts.
Completes necessary departmental documentation.
Enters necessary departmental information into dedicated computer systems.
Communicates part status (good / reject / exact problems) with internal personnel.
Maintains the integrity of the shelf-life tracking system.
Maintains clean / organized work area.
Maintains confidentiality of company records.
Communicates shift tie-in information, inspection status, and first part queuing with incoming inspection personnel.
Supports company goals and embraces new and revised company system elements and willing use them as intended.
Must regularly maintain good attendance per policy each attendance year.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Uses all inspection equipment commensurate to the duties listed above.
Reads and interprets part drawings to the extent necessary to perform duties listed above.
Reads and interprets process specifications to the extent necessary to perform the duties listed above.
Understands Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing requirements to perform the duties listed above, such as finding and understanding the interpretations within the Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standard, ANSI/AMSE Y14.5.
Good problem-solving capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate of completion.
Minimum 2 year of job experience with precision machined part assemblies or equivalent demonstrated proficiency.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrates ability to think analytically.
One or more years’ experience with aerospace product drawings and specifications.
Training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, as evidenced by a completion certificate.
