Actalent Electrical Engineer in Evansville, Indiana
Description:
This opening is for the Electrical Engineering team in Evansville, IN. This team primarily supports industrial electrical design projects, but will also assist the Architectural team on other projects (healthcare, higher education, etc.).
Responsibilities
This individual should possess the ability to assist clients in identifying or further defining a problem, conceptualize multiple solutions, and present to the client. This individual should be able to put into practice the desired solution through a concisely engineered project package. The ability to work within a project team as well as direct the work of others is necessary.
Duties:
Perform electrical engineering calculations and design- (panel design, transformer sizing, sizing wires, sizing breakers, routing conduit and wire, lighting, and some voltage drop calculations, etc.)
Conduct on-site surveys to establish and document accurate field conditions
Attend and conduct client meetings to confirm client requirements and expectations
Work with clients to develop scope of projects
Direct drafting personnel to develop project documents
Assist with field investigations required for project development
Direct drafting personnel in developing final construction drawings
Coordinate with other departments throughout the project
Develop Construction documents, scopes of work, schedules, etc. for contractor bid packages
Develop engineering and construction probable cost estimates
Monitor construction activities to assure quality for clients
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering or EET
Target on experience is 2-5 years.
A candidate should have an understanding of: panel design, sizing wires, sizing breakers, routing conduit and routing wire, lighting design, transformer sizing, and some voltage drop calculations (not much of their work is over 100 feet)
Proficiency in AutoCAD
