Actalent is Hiring a Lab Tech

Description:
They are looking for an individual that is able to work 15-20 hours a week in the lab. Hours are completely flexible based off of someone's scheduled/classes
Responsibilities could include the following:
-Assist the R&D Manager with product certification paperwork and communicating with vendors
-Perform abrasion testing in the lab which the individual will be trained on how to utilize the abrasion machine. Running this test consists of visual evaluation of samples until failure followed by inputting the results of the test into an Excel spread sheet
-Perform cut resistance testing in the lab which the individual will be trained on how to utilize the cut resistance machine
-Perform other tests as required which the individual will be trained on how to utilize the equipment
-Input all lab testing data and results into Excel spreadsheets
-Assist the R&D manager with organizing and separating samples, lab cleanup, and other lab duties as assigned
-Monitoring basic tests and analyze incoming products (dimensions, measurements, etc).
-Assist the R&D Manager in product specification maintenance

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Pursuing a bachelor degree in the sciences (Physics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Etc.) Our current who has been there 4 years is getting degree in Dietics
-Lab experience through coursework--running, analyzing, or documenting test results
-Strong knowledge, ability, and attention to detail inputting data into excel spreadsheets,
-Ability and general proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office
-Strong written and verbal communication
-Ability to multi-task as well as strong ability to work independently
