LICHEN LAND, LLC Ranch Helper (temporary) in EUREKA, Utah

Temporary Need: 04/01/24 - 11/15/24. Two (2) full-time, seasonal, temporary Ranch Helpers needed. Seeking qualified individuals for seasonal employment at our Utah high desert ranch. Our property experiences restricted access from mid-November to mid-March due to winter weather conditions. Requirements: Two (2) months of experience. Lift 50lbs. Wage is $16.63/hr. Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri. from 8:00am - 6:00pm. Wil will be perform in Eureka, Utah. Duties: Duties during the spring, summer, and fall seasons encompass labor-intensive activities related to animal production, including land clearing by removing bushes, shrubs, deadwood, and excess growth from pastures or ranch grounds, as well building and repairing corrals for cattle and other grazing animals. Must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction. Assist with farm building/field maintenance and repairs. Repair and build fences as soon as ground thaws and will continue into the fall before ground freezes. Seasonal duties for cattle production will include sorting and moving cattle into corrals and then out to pasture, feed and water cattle when not grazing on grasslands, examine animals to detect diseases and injuries, assist with calving, castrate, brand, tag, vaccinate, clamp animals, clean and disinfect corrals. Assist in shipping and prepare cattle for the winter months. Terms and conditions of employment: Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Must provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs (possible 2-person). All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate. This job requires 2 months of prior experience working on a ranch. Workers must report to work at the designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather conditions, such as sunlight, temperature or other factors. All tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned will be provided at no cost or deposit to the worker. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer ($15.46/day, maximum $59/days with receipts). The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage (AWER) that is issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed (whichever is the highest rate_.
