Description

Robert Half is looking for stellar Senior Accountants in the Eugene area to assist with upcoming opportunities. Senior Accountants take ownership of reporting costs, productivity, margins and expenditures for companies and organizations. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, Senior Accountants perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.
Job Duties:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances to ensure financial goals are met.
General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger entries.
Audit Support: Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring all necessary documents and information are provided.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, monitor tax liabilities, and stay updated on tax regulations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and optimize working capital to support the company's financial health.
Supervision: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
Experience: Typically, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in financial reporting.
Advanced Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, as well as experience with accounting software.
Regulatory Knowledge: A deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant financial regulations.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
Communication: Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and present financial information.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in accounting standards and business requirements.
