Position Summary:

Americas OEM Commercial Aerospace-related position where the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining/increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts. Products to be supported primarily include elastomeric vibration isolation and motion control devices, active vibration control systems, and sensing systems. Accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans within designated premier and strategic customers. Actively supports the corporation's Win Strategy.

Proactively works with all divisional management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded. Represents company at trade shows and other professional activities. Reports to Sales Manager of Americas Commercial OEM Sales and Marketing, NVH Division.

Note: This position can be based in Cary NC, Erie PA , or at a remote location near key customers in regions such as Seattle Washington or San Jose California.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains strong client relationships with customers while meeting position objectives.

  • Ensures Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.

  • Develops and maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits.

  • Keeps up with internal and external training and development.

  • Obtain specifications and approvals at key accounts to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.

  • Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis.

  • Keeps management aware of changes which would affect the sales of Parker products.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.

  • Assists the divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and service required for their assigned accounts. Actively supports cross divisional and other group products with proper referrals.

  • Coordinates and provides product training at the customer.

  • Provides sales direction to Parker. Assists in the conversion of competitive accounts to Parker.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience in direct sales, support, or technical discipline of aerospace or related products

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to travel overnight 50% to 70% of time; or as required

  • Must have proven track record of performing or exceeding performance levels

  • Preferred job location in/near the metropolitan areas of Key Account location in support of premier accounts. Other regional locations may be considered depending on experience and justification.
