A.Duchini, Inc. is a family-owned business serving loyal customers with expert advice and the highest quality hardware, building supplies, and construction products for 91 years, and we're seeking a new team member in Sales to help run our instore Contractor Counter. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities.
Our company is an independent retailer, contractor supplies dealer, and a manufacturer with a longstanding reputation for superior quality and workmanship. Many of our region's most prominent and well-known structures have been built with products manufactured in our building, and we also carry many of the industry's finest and best-known building products for professionals.
We proudly serve contractors, masons, professionals across the construction industry, and DIY customers who want their projects done right! Plus, we are Erie's only ACE Hardware dealer, so we can offer our customers a complete assortment of what they need to get the job done right.
To continue growing our business, we are seeking the right person who will be responsible for:
- Assisting customers with their masonry product orders including block, mortar, concrete, brick, stone, and accessories.
- Assisting customers with landscape purchases including retaining walls, pavers, and fire pits.
- Assisting customers with their purchases of fireplaces and fireplace accessories.
Some of the key skills and qualifications that will enable you to succeed in this role are:
- A strong interest in learning our business and our industry---and an enthusiastic approach to providing outstanding customer service
- The ability to learn and retain product knowledge to assist customers
- Knowledge of basic math (e.g., to calculate the quantities of product needed)
- The ability to multitask and problem-solve
- Strong organization skills
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position, and you will be eligible to receive benefits (including insurance and paid time off) after you complete a probationary period.
A drug screening and criminal history check will be required.
