Job Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Engineer – Software Test sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, CO.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans and strategies. Identify test objectives, define test cases, and ensure proper test coverage. Execute test cases manually and/or through automation tools, following established test procedures and methodologies. Conduct functional, integration, system, and regression testing to validate software functionality and performance. Identify, analyze, and report software defects using defect tracking tools like JIRA. Work closely with development teams to investigate and resolve issues, ensuring their timely resolution. Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to increase test efficiency and coverage using programming languages and industry-standard automation tools. Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports. Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness for future reference and compliance purposes. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, test optimization, and increased efficiency. Recommend and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall software testing lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure effective communication and alignment. Participate in project meetings, providing regular updates on testing progress and issue resolution. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members. Share knowledge and expertise, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Position requires: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or a closely related field, plus 5 years of relevant progressive post-baccalaureate as software test engineer or senior systems analyst.
Also requires 5 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
Testing on Video or OTT Domain
Programming skills on Python or Java,Test automation development and execution using Selenium, Webdriver, FalconEye, Witbe or similar tools
Debugging and log analysis using Charles proxy and Splunk
Defect and Test management using Jira, Qmetry, Zephyr or similar tools
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $142,171.96/Year - $142,171.96/Year
