What does this role look like?
As an Electronics Engineer, you will perform engineering functions in support of the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension (D5LE) Avionics Tactical/ Missile Kit (TMK) .
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Perform investigation of hardware failure during acceptance at the part, CCA and package levels.
• Apply circuit design and troubleshooting principles to develop new and improve existing electronics hardware.
• Assessment, troubleshooting and analysis of existing Avionics Hardware.
• Perform circuit simulation with tools such as ORCAD PSPICE
• Create and maintain documents to include Electronic Drawings including Schematics, and other Avionics Hardware documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and audits.
• Support all aspects of the avionics electronic package design, development, , , and verification activities including requirement development and flow-down.
• Work with other Subject Matter Authorities to understand the hardware and systems.
• Assist with investigations and tests at customer and supplier sites.
• Provide technical leadership to a group of junior electronics engineers.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 3+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered, you will need to possess these basic qualifications. Please make sure you address them on your resume:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience performing failure Investigation on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level),
• Experience with circuit design, troubleshooting and / or circuit analysis.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Excellent teaming, communication, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate Failure Analysis, complex design information, technical decisions and issues to both highly technical and non-technical reviewers.
• Demonstrated experience with design and/or analysis of PCB/PWB or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
• Design experience using any of the major tools such as Mentor, Cadence, Altium, or Zuken.
• Experience performing circuit modeling and analysis with tools such as ORCAD PSPICE.
• Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
• Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problem.
• Experience or willingness to lead teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience on Space and/or Missile Defense Missions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
