The Senior Product Analyst, SAP Master Data Governance will play a significant role in the implementation of our SAP Master Data Governance platform focused on vendors, customers, G/l accounts, cost centers, company codes etc.  

The successful candidate will perform wonk that is highly complex, varied in nature, and span multiple functional areas, though being focused in one or two. This individual will also seek to ensure the optimum utilization of existing system platforms and their integration while considering and / or facilitating the justified deployment of new technologies in response to business requirements.  This role will be responsible for functional configuration, functional specification authoring, for our SAP MDG implementation. This role will also be responsible for authoring functional specifications and owning data conversion for certain data domains for our upcoming S/4 transformation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Configuring and supporting in implementation of SAP Master Data Governance 

  • Providing guidance on best practices as it relates to leading technologies in the SAP Master Data Governance space 

  • Working with our business solution partners to support with technology assessments   

  • Understanding NBCU business processes requirements by engaging with business partners at enterprise and division level  

  • Craft adaptable, comprehensive, and feasible solutions by creating necessary blueprint documents for functional requirements and technical specifications 

  • Design functional solutions to solve business problems and needs 

  • Ensure agreement on design with process owners 

  • Review and/or participate in solution build and test activities on SAP implementations, rollouts, or upgrade projects; may be asked to step in to conduct project management activities from time to time 

  • Lead end-to-end implementations plus engage as solution architect simultaneously with other SAP projects that are in progress. This requires cross technical/functional team project management. 

  • Review work performed by other team members as per established standards 

  • Review current standards and revise to ensure best practices 

  • Ensure architecture diagrams are current 

  • Serve as the conduit between businesses and technology 

  • Facilitate business requirement definition sessions 

  • Review design recommendations to ensure quality and consistency across the footprint 

  • Perform fit-gap analysis via discovery by engaging with business units and SAP team members 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience 

  • 8+ years of progressive SAP hands on experience with SAP MDG or as data conversion team member in a consultative and/or IT capacity with at least 1-2 SAP project implementations of high complexity, large scale and global user base 

  • Knowledge of SAP MDG, SAP BODS, Information Steward etc. is a must 

  • Participated in a compete life cycle of SAP MDG deployments (Design, Build, Test and Support) 

  • Expertise on SAP S/4 finance integration to consolidation tools.  

  • Basic knowledge of BW and SAP Security 

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills 

  • Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT 

  • Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge 

  • Adherence to IT/SAP project methodologies, and change control processes 

  • Familiarity and comfort in working in an outsourced module with onshore and offshore resources 

  • Strong / effective problem-solving skills  

  • Conceptual to detailed thinking skills 

  • Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as needed in a demanding environment

Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible)
