Seeking Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA East Penn Animal Hospital in Emmaus, PA is seeking a talented Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join and lead as a full-time Technician Supervisor . The veterinarians and staff of VCA East Penn Animal Hospital provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to our canine and feline patients. We are seeking an outgoing individual who is excited to train and mentor incoming veterinary technician externs, as well as our current veterinary assistants and technicians, while also being mentored under the hospital leadership team.

Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide “role model” behavior for other members of the Veterinary Technician team regarding attitude, commitment, and investment in job performance. In addition, demonstrate the necessary professional confidentiality and restraint necessary in a position of this type.
Foster a strong team environment that encourages learning, cross training, and individual development so each Veterinary Technician feels empowered to reach their full potential.
Creates effective working relationships with hospital leadership to facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards, and performance.
Coach and mentor team members through both "in the moment" feedback and annual performance reviews. Maintain communication with the Hospital Manager about team's overall performance as well as individual coaching plans to both develop areas of opportunity and promote personal strengths.
This position is a working supervisory position, which is responsible for the leadership and the supervision of our technical staff.
The pay range for this position is $24-$28/hr
