Job Description
Seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Manufacturing QC Technician with a strong quality mindset to support the quality team at the shift level. The candidate will work cross-functionally with individuals and departments such as operation, warehouse, safety, maintenance, and engineering. This role will require the candidate to perform a series of ongoing quality control checks during production with a key focus on accuracy, consistency, and integrity. The goal will be to ensure the compliance of the key quality parameters for the manufacturing of biomaterials. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for following defined standards and protocols, and adequately identifying and addressing deviations in the process during monitoring and inspection. The individual will have minimal experience in improving product quality by making recommendations for change based on quality observations. The individual will be expected to work in a deliverable-based atmosphere with quality metrics used to assess outcomes.
Responsibilities
Perform ongoing quality control checks during production.
Work cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, safety, maintenance, and engineering departments.
Ensure compliance with key quality parameters for the manufacturing of biomaterials.
Identify and address deviations in the process during monitoring and inspection.
Make recommendations for improving product quality based on quality observations.
Follow defined standards and protocols.
Essential Skills
Minimum high school diploma.
6 months to two years of work experience in quality assurance and quality control environment.
Ability to work on your feet the majority of your shift.
Ability to handle materials up to 50 pounds in weight with assistance.
Basic written and verbal communication skills in English.
General computer knowledge and data entry ability.
Ability to follow cleanroom and safety practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in food, pharmaceutical, or consumer products manufacturing is a plus.

Work Environment
You will need to wear PPE consistent with a cleanroom environment. There is a gowning procedure in order to enter certain parts of the plant. Physical demands include standing or sitting frequently to constantly, walking frequently to constantly, using hands/fingers frequently to constantly, occasionally to frequently climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling, frequently to constantly talking/hearing, and frequently to constantly seeing. You will be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs frequently to constantly. There is occasional to frequent exposure to loud machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Emeryville, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
