The Role: This position is to supervise employees in the preparation, production, service, sales, and maintenance activities and participates in all food service activities. Assists in providing supervision, direction, training, and customer service standards to all levels of staffing that support Dining Operations. Position works in conjunction with all service managers, supervisors, Chefs, and production staff to build staff and student schedules within budget parameters and according to business needs. Supervisor will maintain, update, receive and provide communication regarding scheduling, as well as monitor student and staff call outs. Will provide a daily overview of operational and marketing needs as required. All employees are expected to support CWU's commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment. Job Duties Operations Support: - Schedule employee work hours/shifts; monitor hours worked; approve payable time and absence requests. - Monitor vacation and cyclic calendars to ensure schedules reflect approved time off. - Monitor and track employee callouts and record dates and information in scheduling program. Perform effective and timely follow up with students who have excessive absenteeism as needed. Report staff issues to their direct supervisors for follow up. - Reassign student staff if a specific need or service deficiency is noticed. Reduce staff if anticipated customer counts require less service staff. - Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly operations walks to ensure all marketing and digital signage is correc
