Polaris Industries Finance Manager in Elkhart, Indiana
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to our Senior Director of Accounting and Finance, the Finance Manager is a key member of the Accounting and Finance team and will be responsible for various day-to-day accounting activities while also participating in projects that help drive the growth of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Extensive communication and collaboration with President, operations executives, VP Sales and VP Finance
Work closely with leadership to produce and present reporting materials to simplify messages and improve cross functional executive understanding of operational results
Responsible for preparing detailed budget, forecast and outlook (monthly forecasting cycle)
Assist in compilation and analysis of monthly financial and operational reports, including detailed comparison of actuals to forecast and prior periods
While accounting tasks are not the primary focus of this role, the individual will assist in various internal control adherence/documentation, preparation of a few month-end journal entries and assisting the accounting department in various in ad-hoc requests
Identify and participate in company process improvement projects
Assists in financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Work collaboratively within the team and across departments
Assist with other miscellaneous tasks and handle special projects upon request including performing ad-hoc analysis (pricing, market analysis, production planning, etc.)
