ManpowerGroup Systems Engineer I in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

  • Role: Systems Engineer

  • Hybrid Elk Grove Village, IL - 3 days/wk onsite

  • Pay Rate: $ 20-$23/hr

  • 6+ Month Contract role

Job Description:

Top 3 skill sets required for this role: Low voltage cabling knowledge, Knowledge of mechanical systems, someone who possesses a mechanical aptitude (i.e. mechanics, carpentry, electrician, etc.)

Responsibilities:

In charge of creating computer systems for clients and a system to debug systems with glitches or problems.

In charge of creating the most efficient program for each client. In charge of working on all hardware and software systems.

In charge of creating or managing power systems; that may include creating power grid layouts that help supply electricity to businesses or other organizations.

Research, design, implement, and troubleshoot information systems and technology solutions in support of business needs.

Document help desk troubleshooting procedures, operations manuals, and user guidance.

Qualifications/Education:

Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar field strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience is essential.

Technical Requirements:

  • Solid programming / debugging skills using Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, WS Admin, ANT, Unix Shell Scripting, Perl and SQL.

Must be able to lift 55lbs, must be comfortable working on ladders or on your hands and knees.

Must be able to travel within the US.
