Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Mgt industry. Located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, this role as a Customer Service Representative involves a significant degree of customer interaction and internal coordination.

Key responsibilities:

• Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing prompt and effective solutions

• Receive customer orders via phone or in-person, ensuring accurate processing

• Record customer interactions meticulously, maintaining up-to-date customer records

• Coordinate with other departments to manage and resolve customer disputes effectively

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer credit applications

• Collect deposits, prepare change of address records, and issue discontinuance orders as required

• Promote goodwill through the delivery of high-quality customer service

• Engage in the sale of new or additional services, as opportunities arise

• Perform general office duties including data entry, email correspondence, and scheduling appointments

• Contribute to a high-volume call center environment, handling both inbound and outbound calls. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, ensuring all queries and issues are addressed efficiently and effectively.

• Demonstrable experience in a call center customer service role, displaying excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proven customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations and maintain a high level of professionalism.

• Accuracy in data entry, with keen attention to detail.

• Ability to respond to email correspondence promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent written communication skills.

• Experience with both inbound and outbound calls, showing adaptability in different communication situations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, input data, and use basic formulas.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, with the ability to create, edit, and format documents.

• Experience in order entry, demonstrating accuracy and efficiency.
