Growing, harvesting and packing shellfish. Assist with shellfish and oyster farming. Harvest,
wash, clean, sort oysters through their grow out. Cul by size and place in correct bags, trays,
tanks, and coolers. May set up, transport, and operate equipment such as but not limited to,
small boat, vehicles, pallet jacks, carts. Assist with loading and unloading shellfish on loading
dock, walk-in coolers, depuration tanks, growing cages, boats or trucks. After training select
employees may drive carts to loading docks. After direction but be able to maintain, clean,
organize and properly store all work tools, areas and equipment so it is stacked and ready for
the next day. Hand pack shellfish into appropriate bags, trays, boxes, and crates. Clean up,
sanitizing, prepare new boxes, strap and apply tags to boxes and bags, stacking, sorting
products in preparation for market. Driver\'s license is helpful but not required. 1 month
experience in duties listed required.
