STARS Finance is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to join our team in El Segundo, California, to support the Operational Systems Support sub-product line. The position is currently hybrid, therefore the standard role will be a blend of remote and onsite work (2-3 days a week).

The Principal Finance Analyst will partner with the Program Manager, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs), and cross functional partners to provide support and effective implementation of the contract, most specifically monitoring and controlling program costs. You will actively monitor all active contract efforts to allow the Finance Manager agility in providing oversight across the program. You will ensure all required financial inputs (including both external and internal reporting) are reviewed, analyzed, and submitted on time. Responsibilities include weekly data review & reporting, variance analysis, and quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) development. Analyst will also participate and be responsible for internal financial planning (forecasting metrics such as bookings, sales, profit, and cash) and billings. In additional, this position is responsible for identification of risk and opportunities to the current forecast and program cost and/or schedule, as well as providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of multiple projects under the assigned program.

What You Will Do

  • You will be the lead analyst guiding a junior analyst in continued process improvement, reporting efficiencies and product quality.

  • Results in this role will be dictated by your ability to meet critical deadlines while managing multiple conflicting priorities.

  • You will need to analyze and understand data quickly in order to make informed business decisions.

  • You will need to exhibit financial independence, possess high business acumen and exhibit robust analysis within the OSS program portfolio.

  • You must be able to interpret and ensure implementation of Raytheon Financial Policies and Procedures to program personnel as part of their daily/weekly communications.

    Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

  • Experience in APEX, SAP Business Warehouse, ETC Tool & PRISM.

  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, etc.) in program development and implementation.

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems.

    Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proposal experience.

  • Understanding of sales, profits, bookings and cash flow forecasting.

  • Experience interfacing with customers external to Raytheon.

  • Ability to quickly master Business Systems.

  • Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis.

  • Works under general direction and participates in determining objectives of assignment plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives after training period.

  • Understanding and application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standard knowledge of industry practices.

  • Ability to plan and manage daily tasks, analyze, provide results and recommend solutions to organization.

  • Experience in communicating financial concepts, trends and variances to management.

  • Proactive, creative and innovative in solving problems and issues.

  • Excellent critical thinking abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

  • Excellent personal computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

    Additional Information

  • This position is grade P3 , Principal Financial Analyst, Program Cost Controls.

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. You will be required to be onsite 2-3 days a week.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
