Axient is seeking a Systems Engineer / Project Oversight to support our customer, the 96 RNCS, and in collaboration with the 40 FLTS. This opportunity is located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida 32542.The 96th Range Control Squadron Operations involve the real-time tracking and control of aircraft and weapons in flight, data collection, and data processing for real-time and post-mission system under test performance analysis.
What you will do...
Coordination and control of meetings with any/all pertinent stakeholders.
Gather requirements from the customer and the organization in regard to integrating the customer's needs into organization capability.
Work with other engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs), of multiple disciplines, to meet the customer's and organizations requirements for mission support.
Understand the overall project needs to be able to facilitate artifacts/documents needed.
Be the POC for the customer requirements for the organization and reach out to engineers and SMEs for information and collaboration
Contribute to software project planning activities by translating business requirements, specifications, and system user needs into usable and scalable software.
Communicate status with leadership and customers
Skills you will need...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of progressive, relevant experience.
Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance with the last investigation within 6 years.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
Familiarity with networking and integration of software engineers.
Have understanding of time, space, position information (TSPI), telemetry data.
Have familiarity with Authorities to Operate (ATO).
Have an understanding of system networking and systems of systems.
The ability to work alone, individually, and without supervision.
