Project Managers at CS Energy, LLC (Multiple Positions - Edison, NJ and Albany, NY) Leads project teams and works in partnership with Project Operations and Field Management to oversee the build of safe, high quality, profitable projects within the solar energy, energy storage, and/or emerging energy industries. Responsible for safe work plans, client negotiations, risk management, cost estimation, contract management and execution strategy. Daily duties include:1.Manages and oversees field operation and ensures all engineering processes and procedures are followed, including enforcing safety policies and procedures;2.Passionately builds the team by attracting, interviewing, assessing, mentoring and retaining Top Performers;3.Oversees the execution of the project with the Quality Management System and provides status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues;4.Manages a portfolio of complex projects that span one or more clients from inception of client engagement through successful energization, full commissioning, and closeout, as well as ensuring the development of the project schedules to ensure timely execution;5.Leads project teams by building and motivating their members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones, as well as overseeing staff performance and performs detailed performance reviews;6.Maximizes cash flow by ensuring the team is adhering to the project invoicing schedule and ensures the team accurately documents and submits all receivables, quantity as-builts, change orders and claims;7.Produces complete subcontracts and ensures all subcontractors execute to the agreement and the companyʼs standards and ensures required documentation is received in a timely manner;8.Prepares detail project plan, estimates, prices and negotiates owner initiated extra work, change of scope items, and contract deletions to maximize profits;9.Participates in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization; and10.Actively participates in Marketing and Presales department activities to develop capture plans, teaming strategies, technical approach and bid strategies.Will supervise between 1-5 employees (varies by project), with the titles of Assistant Project Manager, Field Engineer and Assistant Field Engineer (Intern), all of which fall under the occupation of Solar Energy Systems Engineers (17-2199.11).Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by 2 years of progressively responsible experience successfully leading and managing complex portfolios valued at $20 Million Dollars, or a series ofcomplex solar energy, energy storage, and/or emerging energy projects simultaneously with a similar aggregate value. Experience must include:1.2 years of experience successfully leading energy projects and programs on schedule and within budget;2.2 years of experience managing subcontractors and developing and executing various solar energy, energy storage, and/or emerging energy project changes and resolving project issues;3.2 years of Project Management experience at a construction firm;4.2 years experience successfully developing cost to complete estimates, cost and pricing change orders, and maximizing profits;5.2 years of experience reading and interpreting contracts, insurance documents and forms, and making appropriate recommendations;6.2 years of experience with project start-up meetings, subcontractor and vendor buyouts, owner estimates, sub / vendor requisitions and cost to completes;7.2 years of experience influencing and gaining buy-in from stakeholders, executives, team members, and peers; and8.2 years of experience with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project) and Bluebeam, with experience presenting to stakeholders and senior leadership and performing critical path analysis, supply chain relationships as well resource loading and utility interconnection scheduling.Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Requires at least 50% travel to various project sites across the US, travel to site will be on average 2 days per week.
