Team Overview
The Invoicing team sits within CX Operations and is responsible for servicing management and performance fee invoices for institutional separately managed accounts. The team covers the full invoicing lifecycle; from onboarding (implementation and maintenance), through to the creation and distribution of an invoice, and subsequent management and collection of debt.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Primary point of contact for the BlackRock client business and wider invoicing teams to resolve queries in relation to operational processes and supportability.
Support the client business across New, Change, RFP events, providing input, invoicing subject matter expertise and solutions for Core and Non-Core offerings.
Review drafts contractual agreements with consideration to invoicing operational and risk supportability.
Identify, lead, and support projects and initiatives to improve the invoicing operating model, collaborating with internal business and technology partners.
Keep abreast of ongoing invoicing developments to ensure that the latest system functionality and requirementsare considered during invoicing solution discussions.
Ensure escalation protocol requiring Snr functional sign off for Non-Core requests is adhered to and documented.
Responsible for process and controls ensuring compliance with policy and procedures, SOX, CASS and other regulatory requirements.
Proactively investigate, own, and take forward remediation on identified operating issues.
Create and maintain robust standard operating policies (SOPs), procedures and guidelines to meet corporate risk and control standards and principles.
Ensure quality of team deliverables, reviewing onboarding set-ups within the invoicing system as part of the function's workflow.
Proficiencies
Bachelor's degree with preference to MIS, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Operational excellence with a preference +3 years’ experience in Invoicing including Performance and Management Fees.
Experience reviewing legal and account opening documentation to ascertain whether it meets internal policies to open or maintain an account.
Ability to think out of the box, to navigate sophisticated internal processes and functions, and be able to offer practical solutions that will be mutually helpful to both the client and Blackrock.
Highly disciplined, a self-starter and has the ability to execute on assignments independently and autonomously.
High standards for quality, driving efficiency and accuracy in their work product.
Experience of effectively managing stakeholders, building relationships, and supporting them towards achieving expected outcomes.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to influence internal and external stakeholders and articulate complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
Experience in identification and implementation of improvements in working practices, whilst demonstrating an appetite to drive a positive and culture.
Strong organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrate good time management skills, working to deadlines and adhering to set procedures.
Strong numeracy skills to support/own the handling of complex modelling and analysis.
Supportive team player with excellent communication skills with the ability to work in collaboration building strong rapport with peers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate to advanced level data analytic skills such as SQL and Excel, a strong interest in and capability for learning new applications and technical skills.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
