Primary Objective of Position: As a member of the Enterprise IT Delivery team, you will be a member of the technology team that successfully delivers and supports software in an Agile DevOps environment. The Solution Architect guides digital transformation by aligning business, manufacturing, and technology, defining the 'why and how' that drives solution success, selecting the right product features that maximize business value, and advocating for multi-cloud implementation best practices that create frictionless customer experiences. This role is a combination of thought leader and developer – you will help develop the solutions you propose, remaining connected to the team and playing a key role in the design, development, implementation, enhancement, and adoption of impactful business solutions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Contributes thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation
Works with Product Owner/ Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features
Creates technical design artifacts, ensuring alignment with reference architecture standards – applies enterprise architecture principles, strategies, and standards to develop and maintain portfolio architecture, product strategies, and road maps, inclusive of lifecycle, technical debt, and risk
Supports multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production
Leads the technical design, developing specifications and diagrams of the technology solution
Develops Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions
Supports the implementation phase of the program, including coding and configuration and ultimately presenting solution demos
Drives common vision, practices, and capabilities across teams, sharing key learnings and best practices
Mentors and provides architectural guidance on building innovative applications
Leads the product team in making key decisions with respect to solution design, specifically focusing on tradeoffs (e.g. speed to market vs. creation of technical debt) that impact the program

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
7-10 years of professional experience with engineering / manufacturing software including recent experience with Teamcenter PLM (primary), Siemens NX (secondary), and Capital software (beneficial to have)
Proficiency across the BOM lifecycle and supporting technologies
Experience integrating PLM with Manufacturing / ERP to efficiently enable BOM data coordination as well as engineering change management processes
Experience working with teams and systems across product design, engineering, and manufacturing
Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects with at least 2 project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) of the Siemens Teamcenter platform – REQUIRED
Software certification in manufacturing technology platforms – Siemens certification preferred
Experience working in a Product model, with Agile Software development practices such as Scrum and Kanban
Knowledge of ERP and CRM software applications like Salesforce, D365, Infor
Experience with data visualization software like Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio
Experience in Cloud computing and technology implementation strategies
Knowledge of architectural operations and standards
Working knowledge of business requirements to drive solutions
Ability to effectively communicate architecture design and direction to stakeholders
