Silfex, Inc. CZ Equipment Engineer – Process in Eaton, Ohio
CZ Equipment Engineer -- Process, Silfex, Inc., *Eaton, OH. * Plan and coordinate activities and projects concerned with the design, construction, and modification of Czochralski (CZ) Growers, Silicon Casting, and associated equipment. Ensure the integrity of data in computerized maintenance management system programs. Maintain current mechanical designs and adhere to all applicable company and OSHA safety guidelines. Maintain production and quality by ensuring reliable operation of equipment, improving mechanical systems, and developing assembly, calibration and testing procedures. Design and coordinate modifications to existing machines including placement, utilities, and provision for future growth working closely with CZ Manufacturing department and senior management. Contribute to the implementation of Crystal Growth equipment and process improvements in conjunction with Manufacturing and R&D teams through various methods including 5S and Lean. Determine feasibility of designing new Crystal Growing equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors. Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in an engineering role.
Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in an engineering role.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in 1 or more of the following software: Inventor, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo 3D CAD, or Pro-E.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in vacuum or electromechanical systems.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience applying mechanical and computational concepts including FEA, advanced design, design for manufacturing, material selection, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and root cause failure analysis to projects for improvement in safety, quality, and performance.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in Lean technologies in a manufacturing environment, including 5S and Six Sigma skills.
Experience may be gained while in graduate school.
