About the position:
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team!
In this role you will:
- Perform standard engineering work requiring application of recognized techniques and procedures.
- Use established procedures and works under immediate supervision to perform assigned tasks.
- Be assigned work that will consist of both routine and somewhat more difficult assignments, which require independent evaluation, auditing, original thinking, or ingenuity.
- Excel in tasks and projects that will be varied and may be somewhat difficult in nature.
- Provide technical information and data analytics to others.
- Perhaps have limited responsibility for the direction of others.
About You:
- Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular discipline.
- Be able to cope with the type of stress and demands associated with the job and/or the work environment so as to maintain acceptable and defined levels of performance.
- Display competency in applicable PC applications.
- Work effectively in groups.
- Possess effective written and oral communication skills as well as technical presentation skills.
- Be able to work under normal office conditions, where required to sit for extended periods of time. Regularly spend significant amounts of time working in front of a computer terminal.
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable engineering field, computer science, an Engineer in Training (EIT) or a professional license is required.
- 1-3 years engineering experience is required.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience in a parts distribution environment.
- Experience with fabrication and assembly processes such as electrical, machining, welding, casting and finishes.
- Systems/software experience in SAP, WMS, proficient in Excel. Power BI and PowerApps a plus
- Experience working in a Quality Assurance environment involving knowledge of ISO 9001 auditing, continuous improvement activities and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in precision measurement, tool calibration, interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - $70,702 - $90,504 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
