Description
Robert Half is seeking a Collections Specialist for a 6-month contract opportunity located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The selected candidate will be primarily tasked with managing a heavy collections backlog, communicating with customers through emails and phone calls, and following up on overdue accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Support the management of a heavy collections backlog to ensure timely resolution
• Communicate with customers via emails and phone calls to address payment issues
• Follow up on aging accounts to ensure prompt payment and minimize overdue accounts
• Coordinate with the accounts team to provide necessary documentation to customers
• Utilize software such as Great Plains and Microsoft Excel to manage and track customer accounts
• Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions with customers
• Collaborate with the team to strategize and implement effective collections methods.
Requirements
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Proven work experience in Collections
• Ability to manage Aging Accounts effectively
• Excellent Customer Service skills and a customer-oriented mindset
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Professionalism and ethical behavior in handling sensitive financial information
