Job Summary:
As the Senior Category Procurement Manager , you will be responsible for managing Drivetrain Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Castings category with supply base in US and Canada, working to deliver year over year Quality Cost Logistics Development Management (QCLDM) performance improvement.
What You Will Do:
• Provide leadership to a group of 10-12 Category Buyers and Analysts providing commercial support and managing supplier business relationships.
• Accountable for the development, communication, and implementation of a worldwide sourcing strategy.
• Identifying performance gaps within the supply base and developing improvement plans for the identified gaps.
• Utilizing the QCLDM supplier development and measurement tool to ensure an ongoing improvement plan is in effect with key suppliers.
• Evaluating sustainable strategic options; deciding on a course of action and implementation.
What You Will Have:
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Level Extensive Experience:

• Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.
• Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans.
• Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives.
• Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Category Management: Knowledge of category management within an organization's goods and services sector; ability to use this knowledge to analyze and improve the end-to-end procurement process and maximize business profitability.
Level Expert:
• Analyzes recent trends and developments related to category management and procurement and discusses future implications.
• Establishes best practices in category management and develops related training programs.
• Formulates a procurement strategy that utilizes the benefits of category management to streamline the procurement process and maximize business profitability.
• Identifies and defines KPIs to track and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process.
• Oversees the category management processes for all categories and provides technical guidance during implementation.
• Promotes the use of emerging tools and technologies for implementing the category management process.
Strategic Sourcing: Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes; ability to analyze, improve and re-evaluate organizational procurement process continuously.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Participates in monitoring the execution for all stages of the strategic sourcing process.
• Trains others on strategic sourcing in multiple and diverse environments.
• Designs and develops standard supplier agreements and procurement policies with standardized terms and conditions.
• Works with complex strategic sourcing components including but not limited to negotiations, contracting, and continuous process improvement and implementation.
• Consults on strategic sourcing methods in relation to business relationships, inter-dependencies and integration.
• Develops and explains strategic sourcing best practices and rationale for the organization and industry.

This position can be located in either East Peoria, IL OR Mossville, IL
This position is currently a hybrid in-office work model, requiring a 3-day weekly office presence onsite at our (location) office and remote work for the remaining days. However, work arrangements may be adjusted at any time based on business need

Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
