Job Overview: The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the accurate recording of items/product received for the property and deliver to the appropriate department.The Warehouse Supervisor shall be responsible for the timely deliveries to/from the warehouse.The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise the inventory counts as needed and keep the warehouse clean and orderly.The Warehouse Supervisor shall act as the receiving/warehouse agent on behalf of Wind Creek Hospitality in accordance with the Internal Controls, Tribal policies and procedures, and Tribal Gaming Regulations. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements and monitors department standards, guidelines and objectives, and assists warehouse team members in daily duties.
  • Monitors all inventory and non-inventory items and manages these assets to achieve the most appropriate stock levels and ordering schedules
  • Coordinates placement and decision of inventory items according to usage patterns
  • Assists manager in conducting monthly inventories in order to report and reduce variances
  • Monitors safety practices and makes necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Takes part in daily, cycle, and month end inventory; Process accurate inventory records
  • Assists manager in evaluating department performance and makes recommendations to improve efficiency of operations
  • Schedules shipments in and out of warehouse, ensuring adequate supplies and inventory
  • Trains, motivates, evaluates and supervises staff ensuring that all employees receive adequate guidance and resources in order to achieve department objectives
  • Responsible for morale of department through quality of supervision and training and provides training for all department personnel to ensure extraordinary guest service standards are met
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment

Associates Degree in Business, Warehousing, or Related field required

  • OR Two (2) years Supervisory experience required
  • OR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department required
  • OR Two (2) years experience in the hiring positions Department required

Three (3) years of experience in warehouse and receiving in a hotel, food service, manufacturing or casino environment

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older

Must have and maintain valid state-issued operator drivers license

Knowledge of and experience in warehouse and receiving functions in a hotel, food service, manufacturing or casino environment

National Restaurant Association ServeSafe, or equivalent safe food handling, certification

One year of experience with computerized purchasing/receiving/inventory systems

Must be able to lift and/or move parcels and packages weighting 50 lbs.

Ability to motivate, direct and communicate effectively with coworkers and subordina es

Ability to operate a forklift and power pallet-jack

Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats

Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas

Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including manual and powered pallet jack, fork lift, hand truck, cart, and electronic scale

Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Must be able to deal effectively with diverse departments and have flexibility to work in an ever-changing environment

Willing to work odd and irregular hours

Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required

Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gami
