What You Will Do
Hot Section Module Center – North (HSMC-N) is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our Special Technologies Business Unit on 2nd shift. You will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing direction to skilled HSMC-N bargaining unit employees
Leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction
Perform daily supervisor responsibilities including project management, effective communication and execution with support group members.
Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement
Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Aerospace or Logistics Industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma and 9+ years of relevant industry experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.
Active USG Secret Clearance
Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.
Working knowledge of manufacturing process and operations, aerospace technical data and quality standards, machine shop equipment and practices, and policies & procedures governing our industry.
Project management experience and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with problem-solving tools such as root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).
Ability to work with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.

This role is Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
