What You Will Do:

The Product Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for execution of of PFMEA, Control Plan & Gage R&R. Execution of Process Control will dramatically improve the company’s quality and delivery signature. Scope of this role will include both Pratt & Whitney internal shop and supply chain components.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of the Integrated Product Team drive manufacturing risk identification, mitigation and improvements to quality performance using Problem Solving Methodologies (DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone Diagrams, PFMEA and Process Controls).

  • Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product.

  • Participate on manufacturing reviews, transitions, new product introduction and manufacturing standard work improvements.

  • Participate in Supplier assessments for technical and manufacturing capability and quality.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 years of prior relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Engineering, or Quality; OR Advanced Degree with prior relevant experience via Research, Internships or COOP’s.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts

  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Investment Casting experience preferred

  • Manufacturing of Aerospace Turbine Airfoil Components preferred

  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics using Minitab or other statistical software

  • Six Sigma or Project Management Certification preferred

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
