Ecolab Inc Senior/Principal Technical Account Specialist in Eagan, Minnesota

The Senior/Principal Technical Account Specialist role will give you the benefit of forming close relationships with customers and the Corporate Account sales team, but it will also provide you an opportunity to take control of the Institutional Market Test Process and create controls and procedures to provide improvements. As part of this you will help incorporate Total Value into the market test process, and partner with Institutional Marketing and RD&E to improve the process to enhance the launch of products and programs. You will also apply your technical expertise and relationship building skills to the Institutional Corporate Account Technical Service team. You will be responsible for helping support the multi-billion-dollar Institutional Corporate Account business by supporting over 100 AVP's, working directly with our largest customers such as Marriott, Hyatt, Darden, Sodexo, etc, and leading Market Tests for key Institutional Innovation. This role combines technical expertise and cross functional relationships, while working closely with Divisional Marketing and R&D groups, to support and drive new products and programs into our corporate account customers. What you will do Coordinate with marketing to define the Institutional market test process, putting controls and procedures in place, and implementing them through testing. Lead market test efforts for Institutional innovation, proving customer value and providing valuable feedback on pricing and product attributes. Work closely with divisional commercialization teams to create / provide support during new program / product launches. Support and drive innovation in the Institutional Division. Provide daily support to AVP's/CAM's on a wide variety of customer inquiries including, but not limited to; cleaning procedures, product applications, competitive response, food safety/public health concerns, sustainability, and general product questions. Work directly with Corporate Account AVP's to help drive new products and programs into or Corporate Account customers - and understand our competitive advantage. Provide expert customer assistance on cleaning & sanitation programs and product applications for Institutional (foodservice & lodging). Coordinate and conduct on-site customer product and program trials and training. Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop and implement strategies around customer training which may include developing case studies, participating in technical publications, and industry associations / professional affiliations Provide laboratory customer technical service support on submitted samples and effectively communicate results back to the customer. Proactively identify customer needs and to ensure the value-add technical efforts are realized by customers. Use statistical analysis tools and present data to team members in a format that is easy to interpret. Initiate efforts to broaden exposure to Institutional products, equipment and their respective applications. Lead on site tours with Corporate Account customers, showcasing the Ecolab value. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Engineering or a related technical discipline. 2+ years of professional RD&E experience. Ability to travel 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications Strong verbal and written skills sufficient to maintain conversation on technical subjects and courteously help internal and external customers. Proven track record for developing and building relationships and direct interaction with customers.
